Refund Policy
MOOD INTERIORS NZ
This Refund Policy forms part of our Terms and Conditions and applies to all services provided by MOOD INTERIORS NZ.
1. Home Staging Refund Policy

1.1 Deposits and Payment Structure
• A 50 percent deposit is required to confirm a home staging booking
• The remaining 50 percent is due on the day staging is installed
• Home staging services are provided for a four-week staging period, unless otherwise agreed in writing
1.2 Cancellations Prior to Installation
• Cancellations made 14 days or more before the scheduled installation date are eligible for a full refund of the deposit
• Cancellations made less than 14 days before installation result in the deposit being forfeited
• Refunds are processed to the original payment method
1.3 Cancellations After Installation
• No refunds are provided once staging items have been installed at the property
• This applies regardless of property sale, withdrawal from market, change of agent, or shortened campaign
• Early removal of staging does not entitle the client to a refund or partial refund
1.4 Rescheduling
• Installation dates may be rescheduled subject to availability
• Rescheduling within 14 days of installation may incur additional fees
• If rescheduling is not possible, the deposit may be forfeited

2. Interior Design Refund Policy
Interior design services involve time-based professional work and the development of bespoke concepts. For this reason, refunds are limited once work has commenced.
2.1 Design Fees and Commencement
• Interior design fees are payable in advance or as agreed in writing
• Work is considered commenced once any of the following occur:

Design time is booked or allocated

Site visits, consultations, or measurements take place

Concepts, drawings, selections, or documentation begin
2.2 Refunds Before Work Commences
• If written cancellation is received before any design work has commenced, a refund may be issued less an administrative fee
2.3 Refunds After Work Commences
• No refunds are provided once design work has commenced
• This includes changes of mind, scope changes, delays, or project cancellation by the client
• Design fees reflect time, expertise, and intellectual output, not final outcomes
2.4 Paused or Delayed Projects
• If a project is paused for more than 30 days, MOOD INTERIORS reserves the right to close the project
• Fees already paid remain payable and non-refundable
• Restarting a paused project may require a new agreement or additional fees
3. Consumer Law
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, where applicable.
